Adult Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program

HopeWay's Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) can serve as a step-down from a higher level of care or can be used to supplement individual outpatient services. This program includes evidence-based group therapy and integrative therapies.

Adult Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for mental health is designed to support those individuals who have suffered from depression, anxiety and other mental health diagnoses, and are learning how to transition back into their lives. This includes those who want to try group therapy to gain perspective on their mental illness or those who want to continue therapy as they navigate the intricacies of life.

Clients attend group sessions with peers and participate in classroom-style educational groups, similar to PHP clients. The major difference between IOP and PHP is the amount of time in treatment. IOP meets three half days per week and PHP meets five full days per week.

Our Intensive Outpatient Program Schedule

  • Mornings: 3 hours/day Monday, Wednesday, Friday. 9 am - 12 pm (virtual)
  • Evenings: 3 hours/day Monday, Wednesday, Thursday. 6 - 9 pm (in-person)

Our Intensive Outpatient Program for Mental Health

Clients entering IOP meet with a psychiatric provider at HopeWay for an initial evaluation before starting treatment.

During treatment, clients attend IOP sessions at HopeWay while continuing to see their existing psychiatrist and/or therapist in their community. If a client in IOP requests a referral for new individual providers, HopeWay will work with the client to make an appropriate recommendation.
